Neli Glavaš, PhD (F) works at the Marine Biology Station (National Institute of Biology).
Her expertise is particularly on the phisico-chemical analysis of microbial mats and sediments from hypersaline environments. She is also responsible for the analysis of nutrients in sea water. She is involved in national and European projects. As a PhD student she started actively collaborating with industry and SMEs. The fruitful collaboration resulted in obtaining a two year applicative research project with the company Soline d.o.o. that manages the salt production in Sečovlje Salina. She recently obtained a post doc project to further study the applicability of the healing saline peloid from Sečovlje Salina.
