In the organization of National Institute of Biology and Slovenian Ministry of Agriculture and the Environment, on 23rd of October, a workshop “Detection and identification of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs)” was organized, dedicated to the Celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the entry into force of the Cartagena protocol on Biosafety”.

National institute of Biology, being National reference laboratory for detection of genetically modified organisms, participated with lectures on current problems and new detection possibilities of detection of genetically modified organisms as well as provided laboratory exercises for participants. Special honor was given, that besides Mr. Uroš Vajgl, head of the Environment and Climate Changes Division, dr.
