Meeting of the Arimnet2 network project in Ljubljana: EMERAMB - Emergent viruses and virus vectors in Mediterranean Basin crops
Mid-term meeting of the international research project EMERAMB took place in Ljubljana on June, 20th and 21st. Within this project, partners from nine countries from the Mediterranean basin area (Spain, Greece, Slovenia, Egypt, Morocco, Israel, France, Italy) conduct research into emergent plant viruses (and their vectors), which cause damage in the agriculture.
The meeting was organized by Slovenian partner in this project, National Institute of Biology, Department of Biotechnology and Systems Biology; within the project Slovenian researches are using modern sequencing techniques to search for viruses in tomato and are also focusing on mixed infections of plant viruses.
