Invitation to the NIB Proficiency Test 2017-01
In a world where testing for plant diseases can have extensive repercussions for many people and sectors there is high demand for reliable testing with comparable results over wider geographic areas.
Proficiency test is a way in which competence of laboratories is assessed and demonstrated. Standardized samples are prepared with known status regarding the presence of harmful organisms. These are sent out to participating laboratories that analyse them using their own methods, equipment and reagents and send results back to the organizer. The organiser analyses the results and provides a report detailing all participants’ results in confidential manner together with actual sample status.
With support of collaborating laboratories, we are continuing our proficiency-testing scheme. This year we can offer:

We can accept up to 30 participants for each organism/organism group. In case of more interest the participating laboratories are selected on first come first served basis. Feel free to forward this notice further.

- detection of Pantoea stewartii,
- detection (and optional) phylotyping of Ralstonia solanacearum species complex,
- detection of phytoplasmas of the Apple Proliferation group (AP 16SrX group).

- Results to be delivered by December 14, 2017
- Reports on performance sent out by January 30, 2018
