Today, on the 29th September 2020, the final conference of the Interreg project BID-REX (From Biodiversity Data to Decision-Making) will take place, in which the Department of Organisms and Ecosystems Research participates as a partner. The web conference will present the final results of the project and provide a field for discussion at the international level between the leading decision-makers of the partner countries working in the field of biodiversity protection and the stakeholders involved.

140 participants will attend the conference and the eminent speakers will be, among others, Ms Anne Teller from the European Commission and representative of the Government of Catalonia, Ms Marta Subirà, Secretary for the Environment and Sustainability. Participation from Slovenia was confirmed by numerous stakeholders, including a representative of the Nature Department of the Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning, Mag. Julijana Lebez Lozej and Mr. Danilo Šteblaj, and the live discussion will be attended by the director of the Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Nature Protection, mag. Teo Hrvoje Oršanič.
