The National Institute of Biology, a consortium partner of the European Union Reference Laboratory for pests of plants on Viruses, Viroids and Phytoplasmas (EURL-Virology) in the framework of the EURL activities in 2023, organised a workshop as a follow-up to the proficiency test on "Detection of phytoplasmas listed in Annex II, Part A of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/2285". The workshop was held online on 24 May 2023 and was attended by more than 40 participants. During the workshop, led by Nataša Mehle, Head of the Laboratory for Viroids, Viruses and Phytoplasmas, participants were able to deepen their knowledge of the critical steps in the detection of phytoplasmas, learn how to improve the performance of their laboratories and share their knowledge through lively discussions.
