On November 5th, the 7th Congress of the Slovenian Toxicological Society took place at the National Institute of Biology (NIB)

The congress focused on legislative aspects, the impact of tobacco and related products on human health, and the molecular mechanisms of these substances' effects.

The Slovenian Toxicological Society organized the 7th Congress titled "Challenges and traps of Tobacco Smoking and Related Products", held at the National Institute of Biology in Ljubljana. The congress focused on legislative aspects, the impact of tobacco and related products on human health, and the molecular mechanisms of these substances' effects.

Dr. Martina Štampar and Prof. Dr. Bojana Žegura (#CutCancer) from the Department of Genetic Toxicology and Cancer Biology participated in the congress's organizing committee.

Scope of NIB's accreditation is given in the Annex to the accreditation certificate and in the List of accredited methods for detection of GMOs and microorganisms – plant pathogens
