ABOUT ME

What are the most beautiful creatures on Earth? Large trees and animals command a great deal of attention, but there is another world, hidden from the naked eye, that fascinates me; that of the small creatures that inhabit volcanic soils, frozen peaks, and ocean deeps. They hold lessons to understand our own cells and diseases, as well as to supply new compounds that may change our lives and economies. As a molecular biologist, I have worked in three different countries (Slovenia, United Kingdom and Sweden) digging deep into the chemistry of cells to harness their untapped potential. In my free time, my passion lies in observing birds and in teaching languages.
