On the 16th January 2017, the Slovenian Scientific Foundation declared recognition awards for Prometeus of Science for excellence in communication for the year 2016. Among award winners was also the biodiversity group working at the Marine Biology Station Piran of the National Institute of Biology, consisting of prof. dr. Lovrenc Lipej, dr.
